The Greenane Centre, founded and managed by Liz Quish MIACP, BSc (Hons) MSc, is a privately run, counselling and training centre based in a private rural setting outside Tipperary Town. We provide counselling and psychotherapy for adults and adolescents and play based child psychotherapy. We also provide a range of Trauma and Attachment Informed specialised services.
Our Adult counselling service facilitates a person experiencing difficulties to explore and examine these difficulties in a confidential, compassionate and supportive environment. Your counsellor will support you in developing and enhancing your coping skills with the ultimate aim of enhancing your emotional wellness.
Adolescence is a period of great transition which often results in adolescents feeling a sense of unease, confusion and dis-connection as they try to navigate their place in the world. Our team of therapists have undertaken specialist training in Adolescent Psychotherapy and ensure adolescents are met with compassion, and given a safe, open, non-judgemental space to explore, process and figure out their concerns.
Children can often experience difficulties adjusting to life circumstances. As children do not possess the cognitive ability to put into words what they are thinking or feeling, often showing us that things are muddled and puddled for them through their behaviours. Therapeutic Play enables children to express, regulate, communicate and figure out their feelings in a safe, child centered, supportive environment.
We provide a specialist developmental trauma and attachment informed counselling service for children and adolescents. We work with and support parents, carers and professionals through an integrative, systematic and systemic model, equipping them with the tools and strategies to meet the unique needs of this client group.
The Greenane Centre offers a range of IACP CPD Approved and Recognised training programmes delivered through a blended learning format. We offer training in Integrative Adolescent Psychotherapy, Trauma Informed Psychotherapy, Developmental Trauma, Disordered Eating and Group Psychotherapy.
