“Family Carers Ireland Counselling Service has twice had Liz Quish deliver her workshop on ‘Understanding the Suicidal Mind and Self-Harming Behaviours’ to our staff, volunteers and members of our external counselling panel. The feedback from participants has been overwhelmingly positive, and attendance at the workshop is now mandatory for all staff and volunteers with the service. In this workshop Liz provides a clear, comprehensive and practical framework for understanding, and working therapeutically with, both suicide and self-harm. I would have no hesitation in recommending this workshop to any counselling service who wish to establish a safe, consistent and evidence based approach to managing suicidal ideation and intent.”
