Our Award Winning, comprehensive and evidence based Specialist Diploma in Neurodiversity Informed Practice is suitable for qualified Counsellors, Psychotherapists, Psychologists, Art Therapists, Play Therapists, Guidance Counsellors, and therapists in training.

This programme is also open to Life Coaches, Educators, Family Support Workers, Residential Staff, Youth Workers and Social Workers who wish to ensure a neurodiversity affirming, strengths based and informed approach in their work.

Participants will develop a sound understanding of the nature and scope of Neurodiversity along with the appropriate skills to work in an informed, ethical and effective manner with clients who identify as Neurodivergent.

This course is recognised and approved by The Irish Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy and has been Awarded 105 IACP CPD Points.

Romy Graichen

She, Her/They

Romy is the lead trainer on our Specialist Diploma in Neurodiversity Informed Practice. She is late diagnosed multiply neurodivergent (Autistic, ADHD, Dyslexic and Dyspraxic), Counsellor and Clinical Supervisor. Romy is also a parent to three neurodivergent children.

She has trained in a variety of modalities including Transactional Analysis Psychotherapy, EMDR, Brainspotting, Imago, Somatic Trauma Therapy and EFT. Romy specialises in Neurodiversity and Trauma Informed Psychotherapy, training and supervision. In addition to being a Brainspotting Consultant, she also delivers training on Neurodiversity Affirming Brainspotting internationally.   Romy advocates for and is extremely passionate about inclusion and equity and the key focus of her work is on enhancing Neurodiversity Affirming Practice.

Programme Fee & Registration

Full Fee: €2,000
€350 Deposit on registration
€330 monthly for 5 months, automatically debited to payment card.

Entry Requirement

Our IACP CPD Approved and Recognised  Specialist Diploma is open to practitioners working in the Mental Health, Education,  Social Sciences and Social Care professions. Participants are required to have core training to Diploma Level.

Teaching Method

This programme will be facilitated entirely online on Zoom

  • Reflective Learning Journal – 1500 words
  • Book Review – 1500 words
